Gorkha, Feb 10: Ideologue of Naya Shakti (new force) Dr Baburam Bhattarai on Wednesday said that although the country is in deep grief and he is saddened by the demise of former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, the implementation of the new constitution would continue under the leadership of the new force led by him.
Speaking at a press conference organised in Gorkha, the former PM said that the country would be taken on the path of peace, stability and prosperity through the implementation of the constitution.
Likewise, he said that peace would prevail in the country even through the amendment to the constitution, arguing that the constitution has failed to ensure the rights of Madhesi people and Tharu communities among others.
On a different context, Bhattarai, who severed his tie with UCPN (Maoist) some five months ago, came down heavily on the Maoist, claiming that his new force has come out with much vigor to change the nation while the Maoist remains 'the same old party'. RSS
